'Developing a design proposal to allow for exhibition in a public space, celebrating culture and the context.'

Location: Sheffield Midland Station

Design for chance encounters:

The aims of my exhibition are to encourage chance encounters between people and art, and create a sense of togetherness through playful design.

Mundane tasks such as the everyday commute to and from work are repetitive and often cause us to function without thinking or processing our surroundings the way we would if they were new or unfamiliar. This is a shared experience for many who are often in the same place at the same time without even noticing. In this instance, timing and a change of pace in our environment become important in order to spark these interactions with each other and our surroundings.

'By Chance' the exhibition inspired by Francois Morellet aims to act as a crossing point for these random happenings, while also providing a source of inspiration and imagination for its users.
